32-bit or 64-bit? - Windows 7
Some offer software to be installed in 32 bits or 64 bits. If the 64-bit software are generally faster, they also require a Windows 64-bit. If you have any doubt, here's how to know if your windows is 32 or 64 bits.
- Click the Start button. Click right-click Computer and then click Properties.
- In the window that opens, locate the System section. Line type system tells you if your Windows is 32-bit or 64-bit it is.
- If it is 32 bit, choose the 32-bit versions of the software you install. If it is 64-bit, 64-bit versions take. In the case where a 64-bit software is not available, install the 32-bit version.
